6D5N Vientiane – Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang


Day 1: Arrive Vientiane + city tour:

Upon arrival at the airport, Pick up transfer to hotel for check in, then we take for sight seeing tour to visit religious museum Wat Sisakhet, the oldest temple, its cloister contains more than 8.000 Buddha statues, Hor Prakeo, the former home-temple of the Emerald Buddha statues, Now is in Bang Kok, the Emerald Buddha moved to Bang Kok when Laos defeated war to Siam ( Thailand ) in 1779, but today it contains a collections of Buddha statues, antiques and all artifacts found around Vientiane, We then visit That Luang Stupa, it’s beautiful stupa, as a national symbol of Laos. which was built to cover the original small stupa contained a piece bone of Buddha. Day 2: Vientiane – Vangvieng by Van: B

This morning you will drive to Vangvieng take for about 4 hrs, famed for its intricate network of limestone caves. you will stop to visit villages on the way.

Day 3: Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang by Van: B

We have a beautiful drive to Luang Prabang, Travel to Luang Prabang. This is a very scenic trip – driving through many mountains. Also you will probably see many different kinds of ethnic groups walking besides the road. On the way, stop to visit hill tribe villages, Lunch at Kiew Ka Cham village, we take for about 6 hrs to get there. Accommodation at: Phousi Hotel. www.phousihotel.laopdr.com

Day 4: Pak-Ou Cave by boat: B
To day we take by traditional boat up stream on Mekong River, which also gives you a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting discover the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at Ban Xanghai Village, where they make the distillation of local rice wine (made of sticky rice). After lunch, we drive to Kuangsi Waterfall 25 km. On the way we stop at Ban Na Sao, Ban Na Ouan Hmong villages. On Arrival at waterfall, we walk through forest take a short trekking. Possible to swim. Return back to Luang Prabang to clime up Phousi hill overlook the panoramic view of World heritage site city.
Day 5: Luang Prabang – Vientiane by flight: B

Today you should get up early morning about 06:00 Am. Alms-giving for Buddhist Monk which walking a line along street side over 300 Monks, then visit local morning market before return back hotel for breakfast. Visit the Royal Palace museum for a guided tour to learn about the history of the Royal Family. Wat Xieng Thong is the most beautiful temple was built in 1560 by King Sethetirad, Transfer to Luang Prabang airport for flight back to Vientiane
After lunch, Shopping at Morning and Chinese market. Accommodation at: NOVOTEL. www.novotel.com

Day6: Departure: B

Free time in the morning, until transfer to airport for your flight back home.

After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Luang Prabang, Arrive & transfer to hotel for check in,
After lunch, we take sightseeing tour, to visit: Wat VisounThe originally was built in 1513 by King Visounarath made of wood. It was destroyed by Chinese black Hor in 1887, and latter rebuilt again still keep the same style. Now has become the museum of the temple. National museum ( royal palace) which was collected the antiques keep inside included sacred Prabang Buddha statues. Wat Xiengthong is the most beautiful temple and the oldest temple was built in 1560. Day 3: Vang Vieng – Xieng Khouang: B

We have a beautiful drive to Phonesavanh, the site of the Plain of Jars, traveling through the mountains. On the way, stop at a cave that was used as a hospital during the time the Americans were fighting the Vietnamese – Laotian, although neutral, was bombed repeatedly during this time and suffered many casualties.

Day 4: Xieng Khouang – Luang Prabang: B

Travel to Luang Prabang. This is a very scenic trip – driving through many mountains, and you can stop to see the tea plantations. Also you will probably see many different kinds of ethnic groups walking besides the road. On arrival, it will be possible to go for a traditional Lao massage, before visiting the night market – an opportunity to buy some beautiful locally-made items at very reasonable prices. Day3. Vang Vieng – Nam Ngum lake – Vientiane. B/L/D

After breakfast, we drive to Nam Ngum lake, Nam Ngum dam hydropower electricity. This dam is exported the electricity to Thailand.
Stop at: Ban Pholmee, Ban Na Sou, bamboo basket production villages, then take a sightseeing boat trip on Nam Ngum lake 2 hrs, Lunch served on boat. then return back to Vientiane stop at: Ban Bor as well known local salt production salt, arrive in Vientiane late afternoon. O/N at: Novotel Hotel.

Day4. Tour Vientiane. B /-/-

After break fast, is free time until transfer to air port for your flight home.
